Anorexia and Bulimia Care (ABC) is the national eating disorders organisation and is one of the two national eating disorders organisations in the UK. ABC has been running for over 20 years and has supported thousands of people. ABC runs national helplines, (both telephone and email) for sufferers and uniquely, one for parents and carers of sufferers and produces a range of literature, including booklets for sufferers on recovery and guides for parents on suspecting, discovering, managing eating disorders and recovery from them. ABC’s website has over 200 pages of information. Another unique aspect to ABC’s work is the befriending scheme, which links sufferers to people who have had their own experiences of recovery from eating disorders.

With the help of Imogen, ABC’s youth co-ordinator and a generous donation, ABC has been able to create the tbh range and provide valuable help for young people. The tbh blogsite is dedicated to young people who either want to be more aware of eating disorders, or want information for themselves or a friend who they think is suffering. There are regular blogs written and posted on a range of relevant topics including, eating disorders in men and boys, anorexia, bulimia, OCD and therapy. With eating disorders becoming more and more prominent, the tbh blogsite will form a vital part of support available for young people and will vastly extend the help and support ABC offers.
